Camping, museum & culture in Alicante
The Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ or Museo Arqueológico de Alicante) shows us the local history during the different periods in which the provice of Alicante has been populated. There are some permanent galleries: Prehistory, Iberian Culture, Roman Culture, Medieval Age, Modern Age and Contemporany. The visitors can enjoy an attractive and didactic tour.
In the Roman Culture Thematic Section we can find an exhibition dedicated to the Roman life in Alicante which it is divided into three blocks: Romanization, Roman culture during the Empire and Christianity.
And it is so easy to arrive from Camping Alicante Imperium! The Museum has its own TRAM stop. You can arrive with a direct journey from the stop near the camping.
Also, if you are interested, the Santa Barbara Castle is located on the top of Benicantil Mountain which is really close to the Museum. You can complete your visit to Alicante touring the Castle and enjoying its magnificent views.
